Its a new day for IT as I'm starting this blog to discuss the fantastic new concept of Enterprise Architecture by Wiki.
During a recent engagement it occured to me how much the Enterprise Architecture of an organisation and the structure of a Wiki are in common. One consists of multiple, dynamic links between facts in a semi structured fashion, whilst the other is... the same! Enterprise Architectures need to be readily updated and easily accessed and navigated, and a half-decent Wiki product will easily support this.
After some prototyping of this concept I confirmed it with strong positive feedback from other Enterprise Architects, along with other propective consumers of an Enterprise Architecture Wiki, areas such as change management, support, operations and systems development.
So over the next few weeks I'm hoping to expand this concept here with a combinations of demostrations and description. If you have any feedback i'm more than happy to recieve postings about it.
